Rooftop terrace on steel beams Durieux
This large rooftop terrace on steel beams was built for the Durieux family in the Villeray neighborhood of Montreal. Living on the second floor of a duplex and with only a small balcony, the Durieux were in great need of an outdoor space for entertaining family and friends. Since the roof of the building could not bear the extra load of the terrace, we installed three well anchored steel beams on the parapets in order to transfer the weight of the terrace on the building exterior walls.
